Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment?We are seeking a talented purchasing agent who is reliable, self-motivated and task-oriented to join our team. The ideal candidate is capable of working closely with the design team to procure goods and coordinate and manage the development of projects. This person thrives off the hustle of the work and is able to juggle competing priorities while handling unexpected interruptions and changes – all with a positive attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing multiple projects within strict deadlines. To perform all aspects of managing projects:• Perform all aspects of project purchasing/ordering, tracking and shipping including:
  • Create & maintain purchase order spreadsheet
  • Place orders, confirm pricing, availability, ship to and follow-up on acknowledgement of all orders
  • Notify designer of any problems or reselections and assist in resolutions
  • Resolve freight problems or special warehouse complications
  • Track and confirm arrival of all goods, troubleshooting along the way
  • Schedule and coordinate installations
  • In office installation support and crisis management
  • Source warehouses, prepare and negotiate warehouse agreements
  • Match vendor invoices to purchase orders in Job Purchasing spreadsheets and code invoices for accounts payable
  • Maintain and develop professional vendor relationships
  • Have strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Possess excellent communication skills and effectively communicate with co-workers, clients, suppliers, warehouses, factories, subcontractors, etc.
  • Other administrative duties as requested

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to professionally interact with vendors and team members
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet budgets and strict deadlines in a quick-moving environment
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment with a willingness to roll up their sleeves to meet the needs of our organization
  • Positive, ambitious, approachable and friendly demeanor – professionally representing self and company at all times
  • Strong self-starter with great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A drive to achieve both personal and company goals and objectives
  • Ability to receive and act upon constructive feedback
  • Sets high standards - not satisfied with the status quo
  • Creative, flexible problem solver with a capacity to cope with challenges and pressures
  • Knowledge of accounts payable
