​State law requires Colorado jurisdictions to adopt the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) AND the Colorado Model Electric Ready AND the Solar Ready Code upon updating any other building code. Further, any amendments to the code cannot decrease the effectiveness or energy efficiency of the code. These code requirements will continue to increase the challenge of designing and building to the minimum energy code requirements. Builders need to be aware and prepared for these changes. Join YLC at Food for Thought (FFT) MSU and help us pack PowerSacks for children in need. Volunteers help little ones bridge the hunger gap between the meals they receive at school and the weekend, when these meals are not available. Activities at FFT MSU take place outside, so please make sure you are dressed comfortably for both movement/lifting and the weather--layers are a good idea! Parking is available for free along the street and there is also a paid lot right across from the site. Looking forward to seeing you there for an energizing morning of giving back to our community!
