More Energy Codes Heading Your Way - Upcoming State Energy Code
State law requires Colorado jurisdictions to adopt the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) AND the Colorado Model Electric Ready AND the Solar Ready Code upon updating any other building code.  Further, any amendments to the code cannot decrease the effectiveness or energy efficiency of the code.  These code requirements will continue to increase the challenge of designing and building to the minimum energy code requirements.  Builders need to be aware and prepared for these changes.  Learn about requirements, options, and specific details to reduce errors and issues when complying with the everchanging energy compliance landscape.
