Every Inspiration House begins long before the first concrete is poured. It starts with builders, trade partners, and community supporters coming together around the belief that home should be a place of comfort, dignity, and independence for everyone. That tradition continues in 2026 as Cardel Homes joins Home Builders Foundation as the partnering builder for Inspiration House, a longstanding initiative that unites Metro Denver’s homebuilding industry in support of individuals and families living with disabilities.

Construction on the 2026 home is now underway, and the project will ultimately serve a purpose far beyond the home itself. Proceeds from the sale of the Inspiration House directly support Home Builders Foundation’s accessibility modification program, helping Metro Denver residents remain safe, mobile, and independent in the homes and communities they love.

Inspiration House highlights the impact thoughtful homebuilding can have long after construction is complete. For many Home Builders Foundation clients, a ramp or accessible shower is more than a home modification. It can mean moving safely through their home, maintaining independence, and avoiding relocation or institutional care.

Since 2003, Inspiration House projects have raised nearly $2.5 million for Home Builders Foundation, helping fund wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, accessible bathrooms, widened doorways, and customized home modifications designed around each client’s unique needs. That lasting impact continues to bring Metro Denver’s building industry together year after year.

For the 2026 Inspiration House, Cardel Homes will lead the construction effort alongside a growing network of trade partners and industry collaborators contributing materials, labor, expertise, and support throughout the building process.

The project also reflects a shared commitment among builders and industry partners to strengthen the communities where they live and work.

“Cardel actively supports initiatives that enrich lives and communities through our charitable division, Cardel Foundations,” the company shared in a statement. “Cardel Foundations is committed to building strong communities in every region we operate.”

For Home Builders Foundation Executive Director Beth Forbes, the partnership reflects the unique ability of Metro Denver’s homebuilding industry to come together around a shared purpose.

“Inspiration House creates an enormous ripple effect for the individuals and families we serve,” Forbes said. “The proceeds from a single home help fund accessibility modifications that allow so many more people to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes. We’re grateful to Cardel Homes and everyone helping bring this year’s project to life.”

The months of planning, building, and collaboration behind the 2026 Inspiration House will ultimately help create years of greater independence and safety for the individuals and families Home Builders Foundation serves
