Company Overview
We are a local Boulder-based homebuilder specializing in thoughtfully designed single-family homes. We are seeking a part-time Draftsperson to support revisions and documentation for our residential projects.

 
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative home projects by creating precise and comprehensive technical drawings. As a Draftsperson, you will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to bring residential visions to life through expert drafting and modeling. Your expertise will help streamline the construction process, ensuring designs are clear, accurate, and ready for implementation. This position is perfect for someone passionate about architecture and design who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D architectural drawings for residential projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or Revit
  • Create accurate schematics, system designs, and interior layouts that align with project specifications and client needs
  • Prepare construction documents and detailed drafting plans that facilitate smooth project execution
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to refine design concepts through graphic design tools and 2D animation techniques
  • Assist in reviewing project plans for compliance with building codes and standards
  • Support the team by maintaining organized CAD files, schematic diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Assist in construction management activities such as site visits and contract administration to ensure design integrity during execution.
  • Manage project workflows using project management tools while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, etc.
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools, construction estimating techniques and budgeting practices for architectural projects.
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong drafting skills with attention to detail; ability to produce clear technical drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, interior design principles, and mechanical system design
  • Ability to produce detailed schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts for residential buildings
