With over a decade of experience in the building industry, Leah is a strong educator with a background in sales and marketing and degree in communication from Boston University. As an OSC she was passionate about people and driven by the thrill of helping families find the home of their dreams. Now her inspiration is helping builders create sales by implementing and training unique individuals who hold her passions and values. Her life’s path took her around the world for 13 years as a traveler, a sailboat captain, and a dive instructor before working in real estate in 2006.
Michelle Ellis is the principal at Ellis Communications Marketing and a veteran communications professional with more than 20 years of experience in local, regional and national public relations programs, as well as broadcast journalism. She has worked with a variety of clients in a multitude of sectors, including entertainment and events, education and government, lifestyle and consumer, and home building and commercial real estate. A respected local industry leader, Michelle was named one of Denver’s 2016 top 40 Under 40 business leaders by the Denver Business Journal and the 2015 PR Person of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America, Colorado Chapter. A Colorado native and Colorado State University alumna, Michelle is passionate about helping brands with a Colorado connection stand out in a crowded marketplace through strategic storytelling and memorable marketing.
DeAnn takes a keen interest in the day-to-day activities of Empire Drafting and Design and other projects around the home and community.
DeAnn grew up taking things apart and hopefully putting them back together again always wondering how things worked. As she has pursued various avenues in life this has been a great advantage. DeAnn spent 18 years in the Gospel ministry and since then was in a senior administrative position in a Fortune 500 company for many years and now does administrative work for Empire Drafting and Design and another family business.
DeAnn has great attention to detail and loves organizing. This quality has served her well in all work and personal experiences.
I graduated from University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, focusing my studies on sustainable practices and integrating them into thoughtful designs.
Before venturing out on my own, I worked at a Denver based, award winning landscape architecture design-build firm. After starting out in the field as a maintenance foreman, I quickly worked my way to the top of the design team. Bringing my maintenance experiences to the drafting table, I render a practical approach into the details of my designs. My experiences designing both small Denver yards and large estate properties and connections within the industry provide the best possible service to a wide variety of clientele.
