Session Two:
How to Offset the Cost of Energy Code Requirements
The energy code requirements are expanding, and the construction industry is transitioning to more energy-efficient and low-carbon products.  If these changes are inevitable, how can they be implemented and still “pencil out” on builders' cost, profitability, and affordability?  Federal tax credits and utility rebate programs are stepping up and offering significant cash to builders meeting the energy-efficient and low-carbon wave.  The total return to builders can exceed $20,000 per house.
