The Opportunity: Project Manager/Project Architect
Works in concert with the Principal Architects and has full responsibility for managing all aspects of assigned projects.

  • Manages full project lifecycle from project start through construction observation/ while effectively budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating project teams.

  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

  • Oversee the design to ensure its meeting all applicable building and zoning codes.

  • Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion while exceeding client expectations.

  • Provides a high level of customer service ensuring client needs are met by fostering strong relationships through communication and collaboration.

  • Actively manages client budgets, reviews invoices, schedules, programs, project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.

  • Contributes to fee estimation, determining scope of work, and any additional information requested or proposal preparation.

  • Manage all aspects of subconsultant engagement and serve as conduit to the project and team.

  • Production of design presentations and plan documents.

  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, consistency, constructability and effectively communicate redlines to team members.

  • Mentoring, training and collaboration for junior staff and team members.

  • Steward company values and processes.

  • Attend and contribute to internal meetings as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

What Are We Looking For?

Experience & Abilities

  • 8+ years’ architectural experience in project types that mirror KGA’s; custom residential and single family required; multi-family and build-to-rent preferred.

  • Highly proficient in REVIT required, working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe CC a plus.

  • A proven track record for independent critical and strategic thinking.

  • Comfort with front-facing client interaction while providing a high level of customer service.

  • Understanding of architectural design and construction observation.

  • Strong design skills and refined aesthetic taste a plus.

  • Working knowledge of building codes.

  • Deep understanding of constructability and construction typologies.

  • A degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.

  • Licensed Architect or actively seeking architectural licensure.

  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and visual.

  • Can successfully execute and teach the technical responsibilities for this position throughout the entirety of a project.

  • Prior experience in Project Architect or Project Management role strongly preferred.

Compensation
$70,000 to $95,000 annual salary plus commission, discretionary and profit-sharing bonuses and a robust benefits package including:
