What We Offer
  • Base compensation range: (hourly rate)
    • Low: $24.45 per hour
    • High: $33.08 per hour
  • Additional compensation:
    • This position does not have a commission plan.

How You Can Help Us
The Property Management Assistant is a results-driven professional responsible for delivering high-quality support to both the Property Management and Administration teams.  This dual role combines property management support, front desk duties, and facilities management and administrative responsibilities.  As the first point of contact, you’ll balance a welcoming presence with a diligent 'can-do' approach to property management support. Whether you’re greeting a visitor or streamlining an operational task, you take pride in ownership and thrive in a role where no two days are the same.

What You'll Do
Asset Management
  • Perform regular market research on rental pricing to ensure the property remains competitive and pricing strategies are optimized.
  • Actively showcase unit features and community amenities to prospective residents to drive occupancy growth.
  • Execute the full lifecycle of rental applications, lease preparation, and renewals to ensure all legal paperwork is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Collect monthly rent, manage delinquencies, and execute necessary eviction processes.
  • Prepare and manage utility accounts for units during periods of both occupancy and vacancy to prevent service interruptions.
  • Ensure all properties comply with local regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure the property is well-maintained, overseeing routine maintenance and addressing repair issues promptly.
Front Desk
  • Manage the professional greeting of visitors and the prompt routing of all incoming phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, acting as the centralized point for distribution.
Facilities and Administrative Support
  • Track and order all essential office, kitchen, and janitorial supplies to ensure uninterrupted business productivity.
  • Serve as primary contact for recurring vendors (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, waste removal): schedule onsite visits as needed and verify work completion.  
  • Perform routine walkthroughs of buildings and company vehicles to identify maintenance needs (e.g., leaks, safety equipment, or fuel) before they escalate into costly repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of company vehicles to ensure they are clean, fueled, and stocked with necessary safety equipment (First Aid kits, insurance card, registration).
  • Support special projects and company events as assigned. 
Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education
  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in business or a field directly related to this position is preferred.
  • Minimum of two to three years experience in property management, facility management, and/or customer service. 

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Intermediate skills with Google Suite (e.g., Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs)
  • Knowledge of Doorloop, Easy Storage Solutions, Zillow Rental Manager, and Chatway is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience providing a high level of customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to develop rapport with the staff to deliver quality assistance and uninterrupted productivity.
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated work style and conscientious about providing top-quality support.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and work independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm, and focused in a fast-paced work environment where priorities change frequently.
  • Ability to manage and change priorities according to the project's demands.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to perform work products with a high degree of accuracy, as well as maintain confidentiality.

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity adequate to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
  • Requires some reaching and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the designated work site is required.
  • Occasional work outside office setting may be required to walk terrain that is not yet under construction or under construction and must occasionally traverse terrain with or without streets or sidewalks.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
  • Full Time Position
  • Standard Schedule: Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, from approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Seasonal and Weekend Requirements: Expected hours for property management tasks vary depending on the season. Therefore, working on weekends will be required from time to time.
